Welcome on Občanské sdružení Svítání website that is located in Liberec, North Bohemia, Czech Republic - 30 km from borders with Germany and Poland (map of Liberec). This website is devoted to promote Equine Assisted Therapy and Activities (EAAT) - rehabilitation with the help of horses.
Občanské sdružení Svítání (OS Svítání) is a non-governmental not-for-profit organization that offers EAT services children and adults with various health disorders. We provide our services in riding club JK Sever in Liberec beneath Jested - the view point of county. We offer our services to clients from several regions - Jablonec, Liberec and Mladá Boleslav - due to easy traffic accessibility.
The services are provided by 4 employees, several volunteers and 4 horses.
Our work is possible due to financial and material support from many both individuals and companies. Volunteers are helping us in our everyday business. We have also found sympathy and support from government institutions. Our activity would not be possible in such range without this extensive support. We are happy that people around us are not indifferent and contribute to improvement in life of persons with disabilities - thanks to all.
ACTIVITIES:
- Hippotherapy and Therapeutic pedagogy-psychological riding treatment sessions.
- Promoting integration of people with and without disabilities the association thus organizing Child’s Day, St. Nicholas Day and Spring carnival where families, visitors, employees and horses enjoy their time together.
- Recognized training centre by the Czech Therapeutic Riding Association (Česká hiporehabilitační společnost – ČHS). Conducting conferences, workshops, counselling, internships and training of therapy horses – see “Akce co bylo”.
- Participation in national and international conferences and workshops with focus on promotion EAAT in the Czech Republic
- Free e-bulletin OS Svítání with national and international information and news regarding EAAT is issued bi-monthly - see “Bulletin”.
- Educational CD-ROM “Praktický průvodce hiporehabilitací – Practical guidebook for EAAT” was released in 2004 and updated in 2007. Another educational CD-ROM “Hipoterapie - Hippotherapy” has been prepared to be released in 2008/2009.
